Thrift Store Haul

As a preface to this post, I don’t endorse those horrific “shopping haul” videos on Youtube where girls go and spend $100 at the mall on trendy junk and post it online.

I’m writing this post because the lovely Katherine of Blush Fashion 18 asked to see what I got when I went thrifting with a friend. The original plan was to go to Southern Thrift on 50th Avenue in Nashville, but we got distracted by Lion’s Thrift on the way. It was a thrift store nightmare- the air conditioning was out and the place reeked of vintage clothes (in a bad way). The staff was so sweet and kept offering me and Christina water bottles. After we picked out a few things, the sweetest Latino lady cashier told us to go back and get more. Apparently, it was bag day- all you can stuff in a bag for $5. And this is the reason I’m calling this a thrift store haul.

Lovely vintage argyle cardigan with super cool buttons. I’m going to have to cut out the shoulder pads.

From Southern Thrift I got 2 things for $1 each!

Super cool faux gemstone earrings.

Vintage Anne Klein belt with a lions head. I’m going to wear this as a belt or a necklace.

Christina and I also went to FABU this adorable boutique in an old house that was like a maze.

I got these gorgeous earrings for $30. It was probably way more than I should have spent on them, but they were so glamourous and I’d been wanting a pair for quite a while.

Sadly I didn’t get a photo of my outfit. It was way to hot (around 100 degrees). But Christina and I both looked super cute wandering around Nashville.
